MJ bag...first purchase

I don't want to spend all that money on a MJ Collection bag, so I thought that a good way to try out the brand would be to get one the Marc line.  I think that the of the Marc merchandise is almost as good as the Colletion, but if I'm wrong please let me know.

Which one do you guys like better.  This would be an everyday day bag for me probably for the spring.

This one, comes only in blue that I LOVE!  That picture wouldn't post though, but you get the idea....

 OR

This also comes in blue and the cranberry as pictured above.

Really?  The roundless is sort of bothering me.  I'm used to more boxy shapes.  Although, maybe it is time for a change!

i agree with jmr, i prefer the second bag.  but it could be my recent aversion to bags with double straps (one is always falling off my shoulder!)...the cranberry isn't too springy, though - what shade is the blue?

Here's the blue.  I live in Chicago, so this has to be a bag that can get me excited to spring and the lighter colors, but also has to be able to look winter enough in case we have 45 degrees days and snow.  This has happened!

hmmm... don't like the second. it's too 80s hobo. the cleaner, boxier bag is definitely what you want right now. perfect for spring, too. imagine wearing it with a faded denim jacket or fitted pin striped blazer (with the collar up). yum!

I made up my mind to get the first one.  I went to eluxury to buy it and now when I look at the description again, it says that the color is GRAPE! WTF?  Why would they show the bag in a color and then have another different color for sale.  And they don't even have a color swatch for the grape.  Grape, I'm thinking, is like a really dark purple?  I really like the shape of this bag, and now that I can't seem to have it I want it more.  I'm going to try other sites, but I might have to come to this and debate this grape thing.

I bought my sister the red pouchette version of the 1st bag, and it's so cute! I would definitely get it. I remember when eluxury used to have it pictured in "grape" -- it's not really a dark purple, sort of a dusty, medium purple. Very pretty.

Do you need one that big? There are two medium-sized on ebay in red and blue for $250. I have seen both colors in person, and they're gorgeous. The bag is a nice size, too. A lady in Disneyland had it and I followed her around for awhile so I could look at it

Here are the ebay ones:

Halleybird-how much smaller is the medium compared to the one on Eluxury.  I don't necessarily need a bag that large.  In all actuality, I probably SHOULDN'T get a bag that large because I will carry everything that I don't need around all the time.

Anna, I think the one I posted is about 12x7x3. The auction link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63852&item=6735308459&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

That's the size I would get...the other one seems like a work bag to me.
