I know how to knit, although I haven't done it in years. Grandma tought me and I was really into it for a while. When I was little I even croched a purse for myself, and this was like when I was 7 or 8. As to actual knitting, it is really quite easy. You can probably learn the basics and more in about a day. At first it might seem foreign to your hands and it might be a bit sloppy, but you will perfect it in no time. It is also a really good way to relax!
I love knitting but I'm not very good at it. I am still quite the beginner but I've knitted a few scarves. Usually I need someone more experienced to help me when I mess up. Also, the most difficult thing to do is called "casting on" it's getting the yarn all set up on the needles--the first thing you do. I love it though. it's great to do while watching tv or renting a movie. I am going to take a referesher class soon so I can knit a baby blanket.
