In the spirit of supporting each other as emerging designers I'm launching a multi line showroom in soho. we are re-polishing my 3900sft space to become the home for the most promising international high end designer collections in bags, shoes, jewelry and rtw. note, as some of you showed already interest in bringing your collection in. and the word is already getting out, please act very quickly in contacting me. to be included in our mailing, we must have a commitment from you by January 28th.
the launch of "privy, new York" will go public next week.
and we are planning to be ready to open for this season, i.e. fall 05!!!
the temporary website www.privyny.com is merely a place holder, we are in the process to finding a web designer . the launch date for the website is slated between February 10-20th.
we will offer three scenarios for designers:
1) showroom space, flat fee 2) showroom space plus sales: the above plus commission 3) showroom plus sales plus event space: the above plus small fee and extra expenses
we are in the process of defining all the details, like pr, mailers, press events etc. that we feel would help everybody getting their collection out into the world.
* we can talk about your back office needs if you would like, we have : € 3 mac-computers loaded with photoshop, quarkxpress, illustrator, excel, word and quickbooks pro. with dsl internet access € large prop & cutting table, great for assembling mailers and such € graphic design support
in the spirit of protecting every designer's brand, we will reserve the right not to take on certain collection, if they represent a conflict of interest to the other collections. please also note, we will focus on the high end of the market, so the traffic this showroom will generate will be focused and productive for all collections.
