is something like this proper to wear to a reception for a Christening? It's at a banquet hall and from the two previous Christening receptions for these people's kids, the dress code is sophisticated, dressy, and sexy. I would definetly wear them in a neutral color so they don't stick out against my white skin. For my dress, I will be wearing velvet babydoll type dress that reaches just past my knees. The top of the dress isn't too revealing with a square neckline and thicker straps. I can't find a picture of anything similar, the only dress I found that somewhat resemled mine was a Nicole Miller and the pic was copyrighted. My dress is a dark blue color.
I don't see a problem with it. I've worn them to work with out a problem. The only thing is when I've worn nude ones I feel like I have a rash or something strange going on with my skin just with the way it looks. Its probably because I'm not use to wearing them.
