Planning a romantic dinner on the town

I want to plan a romantic dinner for my bf for his b-day.  The concert idea is out (see other post), so he wants a dinner with just me instead.  Isn't there a website besides MetroMix.com that lists all the good bars and resturants?  Does anyone know it?  Any pointers for the romantic dinner plans?

I made reservations at this fondue restaurant in Chicago.  He's never been to fondue and this place is supposed to be the best in the city.  AND very romantic.  Here's the link in case anyone is interested...www.gejascafe.com


Is it tacky to buy him flowers?  I've bought him flowers for Valentine's day before, but not his b-day.

That's the one I had in mind but couldn't remember what it was called.  I usually use Metromix.com, but I think they are sort of limited.
