So after not attending church for about a decade, I have recently starting attending service again.
To my own surprise, I didn't hate the Church as much as I did when I was younger. I don't know if this means that I changed, the Church changed or a bit of both.
However, I feel good about myself and for the risk of sounding totally dorky...it brings me a sense of peace and satisfaction.
My husband and I have been talking a lot about going back to church. Neither of us went as we were kids other than to Sunday school when our parents would just pawn us off for a few hours so we kind of what to see what its like. The only thing is, we don't know where to start. He went to Southern Baptist school and wasn't really raised with religion. I was baptised Catholic, went to Lutheran Sunday School and also wasn't raised with religion. We were married in a non-religious ceremony that we customized ourself. And while I know we won't agree on alot of things (since we don't when it comes to politics), we'd like to find a common ground between us so that our family (when that time comes) can have some sort of religious meaning - that we know is important to us. Any tips for discovering "what we are?"
