Is anyoen familiar with a Vupoint brand of digital cameras? They have a 6MP on Overstock.com for an amzing price and I wanted to get it, but I'm not familiar with this brand. I don't want to buy a piece of crab either. Is there a website that compares different brands of electronics? That might help me too.
I'm not familar with that brand. Let me just say my rule of thumb when I asked my parents for one for christmas. If they don't make regular cameras (film kind) and aren't well known then don't buy it for me. My brother had a sony one and it didn't last 2 years before something is wrong with it and it will cost $200+ to send it to dallas to be evaluated and fixed which is riduculous!
That said I got a Canon A95 powershot 5.0 megapixels and it is awesome. I love it and don't have a single complaint about it.
Check out canons, olympus, and nikons. The nikons are really popular but you can get more megapixels for the same price if you go with canon. not sure about olympus price points though.
I don't really need one. I was going to get it for my bf, but ONLY because of the price. He already has a decent camera, but just wants to upgrade. In that case, he can spend the $400.00 to upgrade to a 6 pixel camera. Good thing to know about the Sony though, I would have thought that Sony would make a good model.
