I actually once knew someone from Brampton! I am so in love with Ontario, but that is another topic.

Back to your question, I'm not sure what your price range is, www.zappos.com has a good selection of espadrilles. Here are my faves:

Dr. Scholls $63.00

Born $$88.00. I love the colors on these.

and only $20.00. They have others, but I thought these were super cute.

Newport also has some that tie around the ankles, but the were not on a platform. They were sort of a ballet shoe but with a woven base.

I've never owned a pair but I want too. Are they uncomfortable? Will they hold up? Will I break an ankle wearing them?

They comfortable, but in my experience they don't hold up. Then again, I've only had one pair and they were mostly cloth with that straw thing as the base. I probably wouldn't spend a lot of money on a pair. That said, the Kors pair wouldn't come home with my no matter how cute ithey are. You won't break an ankle! They are easier on wear than heels because you don't have to workd as hard to balance in them.

We used to wear them in high school (some 15 years ago now) - but they were flats and were the most comfortable shoes ever!
